After reading this article I came to realize how important texts is in advertisements. While in some ads you don't need alot of texts because you can just give the important information that is needed. However, sometimes you need to gain the audiences attention and therefore, need to have texts that will grab their attention. Before reading this article, I thought that the image that you have in your ad was always the most important part of the ad but now I realize how important text can be.

I agree with you, I too felt like the ad visuals were the most important part of the ad, but text is a crucial part too.

I tend to ignore ads which offer little more than a picture of the product, unless the product is entirely self explanatory. A photo of a woman wearing red shoes that simply says, "Stunningly Stylish," in the bottom corner doesn't really offer much interest to the reader.

Good add-on jason! haha I really agree and think that if there isn't going to be much explanatory text on the advertisement, then the visual must do the work.
